Sold per sheet. Made from 70% Babio and 30% Lokta giving it a slightly rougher texture than our 100% Lokta range. The petals and leaves have been mixed into the pulp before letting it dry all together in the Himalayan sunshine to form the gorgeous petal paper.

Use…
Its use is not just limited to crafts; collages, mixed media, decorative book-binding, scrap-booking, but it would be a fantastic eco-friendly alternative to gift wrapping your special presents or simply as eco friendly packaging

Living Traditions & Wildcrafting…
For over 1000 years handmade paper has been produced in the mountainous area of Nepal. The raw material is collected in the wild, taking care not to disturb the plants roots and the bark of the Daphne Cannabina or Daphne Papyracea bush, locally know as ‘Lokta’ is used for paper making. The bark gathered at high altitudes of 6500 to 9500 feet and carried down to villages where local paper-makers clean and boil it twice. The boiled bark is beaten with wooden mallets, producing a soft pulp which is poured over screened wooden frames floating in a pond, and spread evenly by gently shaking. The frame is then removed and dried in the Himalayan sunshine and the resulting paper peeled off the frame.
After harvesting, the Lokta bush naturally regenerates, reaching full maturity again in six to seven years, thus preserving the fragile forest ecology of Nepal, as well as giving continued work to the many mountain villages.
It is entirely handmade.

Shipping…
For UK orders the paper is sent folded as standard, if you wish for it to be sent rolled please upgrade to postal tube at checkout by selecting 'parcel' . I would recommend a postal tube for anyone wishing to use the whole sheet for arts and crafts, as opposed to cutting it or wrapping with it. There is also an option for special delivery if you want your order rushed.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS ARE SENT IN A POSTAL TUBE AS STANDARD. As UK has left the European Union your order might be subjected to import taxes, please check the rates of own country. The buyer is solely responsible for any customs or duty/taxes.
*FOR BOTH UK AND INTERNATIONAL ORDERS IF YOU ARE ORDERING MORE THAN 20 SHEETS YOU WILL NEED TWO POSTAL TUBES TO POST YOUR ORDER WITH. MORE THAN 40 SHEETS YOU WILL NEED THREE, AND SO ON.

Posted in a 75% recycled cardboard envelope box or a 75% recycled cardboard postal tube. Both of which are reusable, recyclable and biodegradable.
Please note as the paper is hand torn the sizes of the sheets will inevitably vary, on average they measure 75cm x 50cm, however some may be smaller some may be bigger, they are perfectly imperfect :)

*Please note orders of cut fabric or paper that has been sent folded for standard postage cannot be fully refunded. The buyer is able to claim a 75% refund only or a full refund if the item is faulty or damaged.
